1. Sportcraft PX400 Table Tennis Table

Sportcraft PX400 4 Piece Table

Specifications:
  • Dimensions: Full-size
  • Tabletop thickness: 15mm
  • Self-playback mode?: Yes
  • Weight: 134lb
  • Extras Included: Net and post set, 4x paddles, 3x balls

The PX400 Sportcraft table tennis table is an entry-level table. Its play surface is 15mm thick which is adequate for beginners but too thin for players that are serious about the game. Featuring steel 1.75″ steel aprons and 3″ lockable wheels it’s easy to move around and the surface does not warp easily. The table only weighs 134lb meaning you should have no trouble moving it around.

The PX400 features a self-playback mode meaning you can still practice your shots even if you don’t have someone to play with. It comes with a net, four paddles, and three balls. This is a welcome addition. However, we still recommend you purchase your own ping pong bat if you are serious about improving.

2. Sportcraft AMF Pro

Sportcraft AMF Pro Air Piston Table

Specifications:
  • Dimensions: Full-size
  • Tabletop thickness: 25mm
  • Self-playback mode?: Yes
  • Weight: Unlisted
  • Extras Included: Net and post set, 2x paddles, 3x 3-star balls

This ping pong table by Sportcraft combines both performance and value, unlike any table on the market. It has a one-inch thick playfield, and its all-steel frame creates a solid foundation that can handle intense gameplay. The AMF Pro is designed with a center-mounted net that stays in place at all times. This is convenient as you don’t have to remove the net when you close the table up for storage. However, this does make the net more difficult to replace if it becomes damaged.

A particularly unique feature of the AMF Pro are the included four gas-actuated pistons that work together to make the table feel 50 pounds lighter. Without the pistons, the two table halves are quite heavy and therefore challenging to lift.

Like the PX400, you can fold up one side of the table to play by yourself. But make no mistake, the much thicker playfield indicates this table is suitable for even the most elite players, even if the brand name isn’t particularly well known in the table tennis space.

Included with the AMF Pro are two inverted rubber paddles and three 3-Star table tennis balls. Meaning you can get playing as soon as you assemble the table.

3. Sportcraft Pipeline

Sportcraft Pipeline Table Tennis Table sportcraft ping pong table

Specifications:
  • Dimensions: Full-size
  • Tabletop thickness: 16mm
  • Self-playback mode?: Yes
  • Weight: Unlisted
  • Extras Included: Net and post set, 2x inverted rubber paddles, 3x orange 3-star balls

The Pipeline is another entry-level Sportcraft table tennis table. While full-size, the playing surface is just 16mm thick so it does not provide the best bounce. However, it is made of steel so it is fairly robust. You can also fold one side up to play by yourself.  There’s no fiddling around with the net as is fixed and therefore not removable.

Like many of the other Sportcraft tables, this model comes with a few accessories. You get two paddles and three 3-star table tennis balls. The paddles have inverted rubbers with 1mm sponge so they are pretty slow. Great for beginners.

All in all the Pipeline is a great table for players just getting started with table tennis.

4. Sportcraft Intrepid 2PC

SportCraft Intrepid 2PC

Specifications:
  • Dimensions: Full-size
  • Tabletop thickness: 15mm
  • Self-playback mode?: Yes
  • Weight: 136lb
  • Extras Included: Net and post set

Perhaps the most basic option Sportcraft has to offer is the Intrepid. Think of it as a cost-cutting PX400. While they both share a 15mm thick playing surface the Intrepid is not as robust, having thinner 1.25″ steel legs and 1.25″ aprons. We also really don’t like the large white lettering which is printed on both sides of the table. It’s off-putting and tacky.

Unlike the other models, this one doesn’t come with any bats or balls, only a net. And a pretty basic net at that. We think this table is best suited for playing ping pong with your kids.

5. Sportcraft Marquis

SportCraft Marquis

Specifications:
  • Dimensions: Full-size
  • Tabletop thickness: 25mm
  • Self-playback mode?: Yes
  • Weight: Unlisted
  • Extras Included: Unlisted

Next up we have the Marquis which is a much more advanced Sportcraft ping pong table. At 25mm, it’s suitable for skilled players. But we should note that while it’s 25mm it doesn’t have the same bounce quality as elite 25mm table tennis tables like the JOOLA Tour 2500. But then again, it’s a much cheaper table, so you get what you pay for.

Read the full JOOLA Tour 2500 table review.

We rate the build quality, the frame and legs are thick and sturdy at 2″ and 3″ respectively. And the table has a safety locking mechanism to make folding and unfolding as safe as can be. Perhaps making this model a good choice if you have kids in your house. Nonetheless, the table is quite heavy and will require at least 2 adults to assemble and set everything up.

One disadvantage is the table, are the lines which are marked using tape instead of paint. This is a shame as it can deaden the ball a bit when it lands on the tape.

6. Sportcraft Millenia 2PC

SportCraft Millenia 2PC

Specifications:
  • Dimensions: Full-size
  • Tabletop thickness: Unlisted
  • Self-playback mode?: Yes
  • Weight: Unlisted
  • Extras Included: Unlisted

This is a rather different looking table from most styles we see. In fact, the frame almost emulates the top-end tables you see in competitions. if it weren’t for the tacky Sportscraft logo plastered around the frame you might be fooled into thinking it was a high-end table, which it certainly isn’t.

And for the money, we can hardly complain. It’s a pretty good-looking table and plays well for the price.

However, it’s not built to the same standard as more expensive tables, only having 1-1/2″ steel legs and 2″ metal aprons. It also doesn’t have any leg levelers so you may have to slide something small under the legs if your ground is uneven.

7. Sportcraft Spectrum 2PC

sportcraft ping pong table

Specifications:
  • Dimensions: Full-size
  • Tabletop thickness: 16mm
  • Self-playback mode?: Yes
  • Weight: Unlisted
  • Extras Included: Unlisted

The Spectrum follows a very similar design to the Millenium with similarly curved legs and its logo printed in small text on either end of the tabletop. It’s also one of the cheapest tables you can buy. This is why we are so surprised the table is 16mm thick. For the price, we almost assumed it would only be 12mm deep.

This table requires at least 2 strong adults for assembly. And like the Millenium, it doesn’t have any leg levelers.

8. Sportcraft Mariposa

sportcraft ping pong table

Specifications:
  • Dimensions: Full-size
  • Tabletop thickness: 25mm
  • Self-playback mode?: Yes
  • Weight: 240lb
  • Extras Included: Net and post set, 2x paddles, 3x ping pong balls (1x orange, 2x white)

The Mariposa is another one of Sportscraft’s premium table tennis tables. It has a 25mm laminated tabletop which provides a nice even bounce. It also has a solid chassis to match. The steel frame measures 2″ thick and the legs are 3″. This makes the table rather heavy at 240lb. To combat the maneuverability obstacle of such a heavy table, Sportcraft saw fit to give this model 4″ lockable casters. This is certainly adequate to ensure you can wheel it around easily.

Like many of the other tables, it has a self-playback feature and it also has leg levelers to ensure you can have a level playing surface however uneven the ground.

9. Sportcraft Folding Table Tennis Conversion Top

sportcraft ping pong table

Specifications:
  • Dimensions: Full-size
  • Tabletop thickness: 13mm
  • Self-playback mode?: N/A
  • Weight: Unlisted
  • Extras Included: Net and post set

The Sportcraft conversion top is very sturdy and of great quality. The advantage of a conversion top means you can save space and convert a pre-existing surface into a table tennis table, rather than having to buy a real table tennis table. At 13mm thick, it’s suitable for beginners and a great choice for fun family get-togethers.

10. Sportcraft X-3000 4 Piece

SportCraft X-3000 4 Piece

Specifications:
  • Dimensions: Full-size
  • Tabletop thickness: 15mm
  • Self-playback mode?: Yes
  • Weight: 125lbs
  • Extras Included: Net and post set

The X-3000 is an affordable choice for beginner or intermediate players. It’s not particularly sturdy as the legs and aprons are both just 1.25″ thick. The lockable casters are also quite small at 2″. Then again, they don’t need to be very large as the table weighs just 125lb meaning you can move it around very easily by yourself.

An eye-catching feature of this table is the peculiar looking net which doubles up as bat holders. Can’t say we’ve seen that one before! It also features an electronic scoring system, although we fail to see where the table employs this. All in all a somewhat strange table, but a half-decent buy for beginners.

11. Sportcraft 4 Piece Table Tennis Table

sportcraft 4 piece table

Specifications:
  • Dimensions: Full-size
  • Tabletop thickness: 15mm
  • Self-playback mode?: Yes
  • Weight: 125lbs
  • Extras Included: Net and post set

This regulation-size table is suitable for amateurs to play with. The tabletop is a 15mm charcoal-painted MDF that offers an okay bounce. It is finished with a plastic laminate to aid in protecting the table from scratches. As it’s a Sportcraft folding ping pong table you can easily put it away for storage. It also has the sought-after self-playback feature.

There are 4 strong legs with 4 casters for mobility, but no leg levelers to speak of. And the table uses a more rudimentary anti-tilt clip system than most models. It’s not as safe as what the new tables use but it’s still pretty effective provided you are careful. The one-piece carriage also makes the table very easy to transport and move around.

12. Sportcraft VICTORY Table Tennis Table

sportcraft ping pong table

sportcraft ping pong table

Specifications:
  • Dimensions: Full-size
  • Tabletop thickness: 15mm
  • Self-playback mode?: Yes
  • Weight: 115lbs
  • Extras Included: Net and post set

Lastly, we have another budget pick: the Sportcraft Victory. It has a 15mm playing surface which could certainly be worse, but the frame is not particularly strong. The legs measure just 1-1/4″ in thickness. However, they are made of steel so they will still stand up to some punishment. The apron, on the other hand, is not made of steel, it’s instead made from PVC. This is a clear area Sportcraft has saved on money and as the table is super inexpensive, we really don’t mind the material switch.

In terms of stability, we don’t rate the table very highly. The wheels are very small and the two table halves connect via a thin strip of material when in the upright position. This is pretty dangerous in our view. If the table was any heavier this would surely be a deal-breaker, but as it’s just 115lb we instead advise you to just be really careful if you choose to purchase the Sportcraft Victory.

Alternative Options

1. Stiga Advantage — Best Table for Beginners

stiga advantage stiga advantage

Specifications:

  • Dimensions: Full-size
  • Tabletop thickness: 16mm
  • Self-playback mode?: Yes
  • Weight: 115lbs
  • Extras Included: Tournament-grade net and post set

With many of the Sportcraft tables long sold out, we thought we had better provide you with some quality alternatives. Our top pick for beginners is the Stiga Advantage. Stiga is a reputable table tennis manufacturer, therefore their products are well trusted among players. With the Advantage, Stiga has provided an inexpensive table with all of the features you need. It’s lightweight making moving the table simple, it folds for compact nested storage, and you can also fold up one half so that you can play by yourself.

The Advantage is simply better built than most of the Sportcraft tables, and it has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from buyers with 4.5 stars across over 6,500 reviews on Amazon. You also get a 90-day warranty which is an added bonus.

2. Stiga Advantage Pro — Best Choice for Intermediate Players

stiga advantage pro stiga advantage pro

Specifications:

  • Dimensions: Full-size
  • Tabletop thickness: 19mm
  • Self-playback mode?: Yes
  • Weight: 211lbs
  • Extras Included: Tournament-grade net and post set

Following on from the Stiga Advantage we have the Stiga Advantage Pro. These two tables look very similar but the Pro has a few key strengths over its cheaper brother. The most important upgrade is in regards to the tabletop thickness. The standard Advantage has a 16mm play surface whereas the Pro has a 19mm play surface. This is a noticeable jump that provides a much more consistent bounce. The Advantage Pro is also a little stronger and has improved wheels. Its legs are 0.4″ thicker and the wheels are 1″ thicker. While these are not major changes, they are certainly worth noting. However, it’s pretty clear to us the price jump is almost entirely attributed to the increased tabletop thickness — and it’s well worth it.

3. JOOLA Tour 2500 — Best for Advanced Players

JOOLA Tour 2500

JOOLA Tour 2500

Specifications:

  • Dimensions: Full-size
  • Tabletop thickness: 25mm
  • Self-playback mode?: Yes
  • Weight: 250lbs
  • Extras Included: Tournament-grade net and post set

The Tour 2500 blew us away regarding what JOOLA could fit into such a well-priced high-end table. For starters, the tabletop thickness is 25mm which is standard for competitive play, meaning it should suit any type of player. It is also seriously robust, with a 50mm frame and a 50 x 50mm undercarriage. This ensures the table will last for many years. Despite its weight, it’s also quite easy to maneuver and store. Each table independently folds like the Stiga Advantage, so you can both play by yourself and store the table compactly when it is not in use as the two halves nest together. Each half also has two locks for maximum safety.

If you’re an advanced player looking for a well-priced dependable table, this is it. Equally, if you are less skilled, but set on playing ping pong long-term, this could be a great future-proof option to save you money from buying multiple tables.

Sportcraft Ping Pong Table Assembly Instructions

If you’re planning on purchasing one of these tables, we highly recommend you pay close attention to the instructions manual. If you don’t, you’re bound to make mistakes and the process will take much longer. The instructions for the table are always included in the package when you buy, so put them to one side where they won’t be lost. We also managed to find the online instructions manual for the Intrepid 2pc, Marquis, and Spectrum 2pc, which you may find helpful.

So Which Table Should I Buy?

Hopefully, that wasn’t too overwhelming! We covered a lot of Sportcraft ping pong tables in this post and were surprised to see no medium thickness tabletop models (around 18mm), rather, thin and thick tables. We found a lot of the entry-level models to compare rather nicely with one another. No table stood out strongly above the rest. However, if we have to choose we think the PX400 is a safe bet. It’s inexpensive, 15mm thick, and comes with a lot of accessories so you don’t need to buy any equipment separately.

However, if you are seeking a more advanced table we instead recommend the Mariposa. It’s 25mm thick which meets tournament regulations, and it has a thick frame and legs. The net may be a little poor, but considering how well-priced it is, you can easily buy a better net separately.

*UPDATE* Both of these tables are now out of stock. We instead recommend the Stiga Advantage for beginners, the Stiga Advantage Pro for intermediate players, and the JOOLA Tour 2500 for advanced players.

  1. We bought the Sportcraft Four Player Table Tennis Set in the Bronze Series few months ago. The table come with four Paddles with Conical Shaped Laminated Wood Handles. Each paddle has pips out rubber facing on it. The easy to assemble net can attach to any table for quick play. The metal poles are adjustable making playing on any kind of table surface possible. The set includes everything you need including four table tennis balls. Me and my family love the table very much and we have play quite often since we have it.

  2. The picture of the pcodurt shown online is misleading. It appears that it will fit on a standard size pool table but it is actually three inches too narrow. Additionally, it shows a frame attached to fit inside the table to raise the table platform above the pool table rails. Only the table is provided. The shipping was free and arrived within a week.
